I have to admit to you that I have a problem. I’m addicted to monogram letters.

As if it wasn’t enough to hang them above our bed…

Or on the front door…

I must now beat you over the head with the letter “E” in our hallway as part of our gallery wall.

No, the empty frames aren’t some existentialist statement. They are just simply waiting to be filled (does the frame actually exist without the picture that gives it meaning?)

Anywhoooooo…moving on.

If it weren’t for the cutest baby puppy picture ever, you wouldn’t even know we lived here. Except for the previously mentioned monograms of course.

Maybe you’re a bit crazy about letters too, so here’s how to get a book page letter of your own.

Materials:

  • Letter of choice (or multiples)- mine was like $4 at A.C. Moore
  • Old book- I had one left over from this wreath project
  • Mod Podge- I used matte finish
  • Paint Brush

This is so easy, it would make a great kid craft. Just tear pieces of the book pages and apply a small amount of Mod Podge to the back of the paper with the paint brush. Put the pieces on the letter, overlapping to give it the decoupage look.

Once the whole letter is covered, let it dry completely then follow with a few coats of Mod Podge (letting it dry in between coats).

Hang in a prominent place so everyone knows it’s your house.

      Thanks Meg! The story of the comforter is kind of funny actually- I probably bought and took back 4 because the green wasn’t exactly the color I wanted. This one ended up coming from Walmart believe it or not, it’s the BH&G brand on the reverse side (the right side is really floral-y and has reds and oranges). I am not sure they still sell it but you could check online. I think it was like $80 for the set…total steal considering all the other more expensive ones I bought that weren’t quite right!
